Hairdressing (Women) - Adults - L3 Diploma

This course is ideal for adult learners who are interested in a career in Women’s Hairdressing. It allows you to learn, develop and practice the advanced Hairdressing skills required for employment and/or career progression in this field. Course content is highly practical and covers a wide range of Hairdressing skills. The Level 3 Diploma in Hair Services is timetabled two nights a week across the duration of the academic year.

    • Health and safety in the workplace
    • Hairdressing consultation services
    • Style and dress women’s hair
    • Colour hair to create a variety of looks
    • Cut women’s hair to create a variety of looks
    • Hair colour correction
  • Entry Requirements

    4 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A*-C), including English and Maths, or a Level 2 qualification (Merit or Distinction) in a related subject. Note: for skills-based qualifications you might need the skills at Level 2 in order to enrol onto the Level 3. Previous experience in the customer service sector, prior qualifications or a maths and English assessment will also be taken into consideration as entry criteria to the course.

  • Assessment

    You will be assessed through a range of practical assessment techniques, observations, assignments and online examinations.

  • Moving Forward

    Employment as a fully qualified hairdresser or stylist

  • Cost and Loans

    You will be expected to purchase your own course materials, beauty therapy/hairdressing kit, uniform and text books. The Advanced Learner Loan is available for this course
