Karis delivers VIP message
London South East Colleges’ Greenwich Campus played host to a very special guest today as students were treated to a very lively presentation by motivational speaker Karis Theophane.
Catherine's great results at GCSE put her on course to a degree with honours
Catherine, 49, has had two different careers already but neither compares to the one she is pursuing right now. She has just enrolled for her second year of the Childhood Studies with SEN (Special Educational Needs) Foundation Degree validated by Canterbury Christ Church University. This was made possible by taking on both English and maths at GCSE level whilst also studying for her first-year exam units of which she scored a complete set of distinction grades.
Graham shares his GCSE success
Graham, 64, from West Wickham had very honorable reasons to return to education and study for his GCSE English and maths exams. He wanted to help his son James with his school work and decided the best way to do it was to put himself in the very same scenario himself.

Stephen Howlett, previously CEO at London’s oldest housing association Peabody, has taken the helm this month and replaces former Chair Roger Dawe, who stepped down earlier in summer after five years in the role.
Abbie makes news with London citizen journalist competition win
London South East Colleges student, Abbie Richards has been awarded a Highly Commended Certificate in the 2017 London Voices journalist competition this week. The award is sponsored by The Media Society and London Learning Consortium. Abbie’s article on selective mutism was part of a competition designed to encourage new talent into journalism.

Ruth is honoured with a first class degree
Accounting student, Ruth Williams has received the news she’s been eagerly awaiting since completing her course last month. She has just achieved a first class BSc Honours degree in Accounting accredited by Canterbury Christ Church University.
