Prepare for a successful career in the automotive industry with our comprehensive 2 days week Motor Vehicle Course. This qualification provides a solid foundation, building on your existing knowledge and equipping you with the essential skills required in the motor vehicle sector.

Starting with the basics of health and safety, you'll gain hands-on experience with wheels, tyres, brakes, and suspension systems. You'll learn to handle these components confidently, understanding their individual functions and how they integrate into the vehicle's overall operation. This course is designed to prepare you for a bright future in the automotive sector.

  • What you will study

    You will study:

    • Skills in health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
    • Skills to support working relationships in the automotive work environment
    • Knowledge of health, safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment

    • Introduction to vehicle technology and workshop methods and processes
    • Skills in inspection, repair and replacement of standard light vehicle tyres
    • Knowledge of inspection, repair and replacement of standard light vehicle tyres
    • Carry out basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Entry Requirements

    You must:

    • Be over 19
    • Have 4 GCSEs at grade 9-3 (A*-D), including English and Maths, OR
    • A Level 1 qualification in a related subject.

    • Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair -Motorcycle City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma
    • Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - Motor Vehicle City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate or Diploma
