Paul Greenan, KPMG Partner, and Charli Parker, KPMG Graduate Management Consultant, visited the Bromley campus, Friday 12 May, to speak to our students about best practices in preparing for a job interview. The students received great advice to take after receiving confirmation of an interview, including employer research - a crucial step to a successful interview.
Teresa Riordan, Student Placement Advisor, says: "What an amazing opportunity for the students to have practice interviews with an employer of such significance. They can make all their mistakes before leaving college and can start to successfully apply for their first, full-time jobs."
Paul and Charli plan to visit again as they set a task for the students to research KPMG as if they were being interviewed for a junior position. The students will be presenting their research in return for constructive feedback, as well as completing mock interviews and CV reviews.
Paul Greenan, KPMG Partner, says: "At KPMG we recognise the importance of our role in terms of supporting our local communities and helping develop our young people to fulfil their potential and break through barriers. I enjoy sharing my career experiences and see the value for young people by giving them guidance and feedback on their aspirations and how they present themselves for their first step in working life."
Such a brilliant, insightful visit. We look forward to working with KPMG in the future as we're keen for more of our students to benefit from this experience.
