Julie McNab joined the college in 2004 as a childcare assessor. Over the years she has nurtured many students through their apprenticeships, working closely with employers to ensure maximum benefit for both businesses and apprentices.
As a result of Julie’s dedication, colleagues nominated her for a prestigious award at the national TES FE Awards. Having been shortlisted from a record number of entries, Julie attended a glittering ceremony last Friday, held at Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.
Ashley McCaul, Director of London South East Apprenticeship Company, said: “Reaching the final of these national awards is well-deserved recognition for Julie. She has been so dedicated to her role for many years and has developed excellent relationships with both students and employers.
“Julie is highly valued by everyone she works with and has supported the team as it has grown and developed.
Award winner Julie adds: “I was really surprised to be nominated for this award and even more surprised to reach the final! It is wonderful to be recognised for the job I do. I work with a brilliant team, dedicated young people and supportive employers – all of whom I thank for their support.
“Apprenticeships are such a great pathway to fantastic careers in many industries and I am delighted to be part of such a pioneering organisation.”
London South East Colleges offers a wide range of apprentices in over 20 sectors from engineering and IT to hairdressing and hospitality. We work with hundreds of employers and offer support to both businesses and students to ensure maximum benefit is gained from every apprenticeship.
