Face to face lessons will continue on campus, but timetable changes are being made to move some classroom and theory-based lessons online. This will ensure that the number of people on site at any one time is limited, enabling us to continue adhering to the Government’s social distancing guidelines. We are providing laptops and other technology to students who need this support, to ensure that everyone has the equipment they need to continue learning effectively.
Importantly, all practical lessons will continue as normal during the lockdown period, so that no learner is disadvantaged in any way by time out of the classroom. Rest assured that tutors will be in touch to inform all students of any changes that may affect them.
Our SEND provision remains fully open, as it has done throughout the pandemic, with students attending campus as normal.
We are very much aware that many people within our college community are experiencing financial hardship and mental health issues, which are being exacerbated by the pandemic. We have a team of Wellbeing Mentors and Counsellors providing 1:1 support for students and their parents; if you would like to access this confidential service please email
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our staff and students for their continued resilience, hard work and commitment throughout what is an extremely challenging time. We will continue to follow all government and public health guidelines and will provide you with regular updates on any forthcoming changes or developments.
With kindest regards,
Dr Sam Parrett OBE
