Paul is currently the Chief Executive for the London Borough of Bexley with extensive experience in local government operating at a strategic leadership level, providing corporate leadership, financial management, shared services and partnership working.
Paul has been working with the London Borough of Bexley since 2016 to ensure the delivery of the vision and strategies of the Council to improve the quality of life of residents and those that work in the Borough. Before becoming the Chief Executive, he was the Director of Finance & Corporate Services and the Council’s Statutory Chief Finance Officer being a dual qualified accountant. Paul is focussed at ensuring the Authority delivers responsive, high quality, cost effective services, managing resources firmly, effectively and creatively. He is passionate about improving services for residents and businesses through process reengineering and rationalisation to maximise results and performance whilst reducing costs.
Before Bexley, Paul has worked in a number of other local authorities across London and more widely.
Outside of work then Paul was previously a District Commissioner in the Scouts locally to home and is currently the District Treasurer continuing his involvement in the Scouting movement.
