Kate has two decades of experience working within the UK government, where she has held a range of pivotal roles. Currently, she serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Justice Digital in the Ministry of Justice, a national digital transformation programme for the prison and probation services.
Prior to her current position, Kate was the Chief Strategy and Operating Officer at London South East Academies Trust, on secondment from the Department for Education, where she had been the Programme Director for the National Tutoring Programme and the Strategy and Delivery lead in the DfE’s Covid Response Unit.
Throughout her career, Kate has served in several roles within the Department for Education and the Ministry of Justice, including overseeing the South London and South East Regional School Commissioner’s Office, establishing digital transformation and operations functions, designing policy and strategy to reduce reoffending rates for different offender groups and online court reform, and setting up the first User Centred Design Lab in the Department for Education.
Kate lives in Lewisham and serves as the Chair of Governors for a local secondary school, as well as the Vice-Chair for a local primary school.
