If you are passionate about healthy lifestyles and the role sport can play in developing communities, then our Higher National courses are just what you are looking for.

You will gain practical experience through industry links with sports and fitness professionals and benefit from access to key resources such as our on-site gym.

Our Higher Nationals prepare you for a range of careers in sport including Coach, Fitness manager, Personal trainer, Sports Development Officer, Activity Leader or Physical Activity Manager.

Sport - Pearson BTEC HNC

HNC Sport is a Level 4 qualification made up of 120 credits. It provides a nationally recognised qualification offering excellent career progression within the sports industry. The course is designed to provide a clear line of site to employment such as a professional sportsperson, sports manager or coach. Students will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace scenarios. The HNC in Sport can be completed in two ways. The first is in association with Bromley Football Club will provide you with the option to play at the Bromley FC stadium, home of the professional development squad (u23s). The second option allows you to specialise in a sport of your choice such as Tennis, Rugby or Basketball. BTEC Higher Nationals provide nationally recognised qualifications offering excellent career progression within the sports industry. The qualifications aim is to widen access to higher education and enhance your career prospects in the sports industry. The programme is taught 2 days a week over 34 weeks allowing you to work alongside your studies. Sport Coaching and Physical Activity - Canterbury Christ Church University BA (Hons)

Make a healthy future for you and your community by turning your sports passion into a rewarding career. In this programme, you will explore how the integration of sport, community and health come together and impact health, well-being and society. It's designed to enable you to explore contemporary issues in sports and critically reflect on key issues impacting the industry. Whether you want to progress into teaching, work within the community or in other roles in the sport and health-related industry this programme will enable you to link theory gained in the classroom with the practical experience in your setting to develop the skills and knowledge you need.
