This course is suitable for all levels of students who wish to learn or further improve and develop their skills in jewellery. In this course, you will learn: -How to create intricate designs -Advanced jewellery-making techniques, including saw piercing and advanced soldering Please note: -It is possible to join this course throughout the year. -All tools and equipment needed for jewellery making will be provided. -Copper will be provided for this session. Silver may be purchased during the class. -You must wear closed shoes and appropriate clothing (no scarves or loose clothing) to comply with Health & Safety guidelines. -Each session will finish with cleaning all tools and work areas used as required by health and safety, as well as COVID-19 regulations.
If you want to give jewellery making a try, this course is for you! It will give you a taste of jewellery making, covering basic skills through demonstration, handouts and individual practice. You will learn basic skills of jewellery making including piercing, filing, texturing, annealing, forming and polishing and you will create one or two pieces of jewellery that you can take home and enjoy.
Develop the skills and techniques necessary to use silver, copper, brass, gold, and aluminium to create beautiful and unique pieces of jewellery. You will learn to recognise and use a range of appropriate materials to produce your pieces of jewellery worn on the body or applied to surfaces, and how to remedy any problems encountered during the making of the pieces.
